Parkinson's Disease
Parkinson's disease is
a progressive disorder of the nervous system that affects movement. Symptoms start
gradually, sometimes starting with a barely noticeable tremor in one hand.
Tremor is common, but the disorder also frequently causes stiffness or slowing
of movement.
In Parkinson's disease, certain nerve
cells (neurons) in the brain gradually break down or die. Most symptoms are due
to a loss of neurons that produce a chemical messenger in your brain called
dopamine. When dopamine levels drop, it causes abnormal brain activity, leading
to impaired movement and other symptoms of Parkinson's disease.
Ayurvedic natural remedies and herbs for
digestion as well as nerve tonics are given to restore digestive function both
in the gastrointestinal tract and at the cellular level. Specific diets and
diet are recommended. The treatment of Parkinson's disease in Ayurveda provides
special Neuro-Rasayanas which stimulate neurotransmitters and help overcome
problems as well as relax the mind.
