Psoriasis
Psoriasis in Ayurveda is a well-known disease because “Kithibha”
is an autoimmune disease that causes plaques, which are itchy or painful
patches of thick, red, and dry skin. Psoriasis affects any part of the body.
Ayurveda believes that impurities in the blood related to
emotional aspects are the cause of the disease. Psoriasis is believed to occur
due to the reduction of the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) to varying
degrees, but mainly Vata and Kapha depending on Ayurvedic treatments.
Irregular lifestyle, consumption of food such as dairy products
with fish, yogurt, paneer, black gram, sour and salty seafood that is not
recommended to consume together which activates the pathogenesis . The
consumption of alcohol and tobacco will act as a catalyst here. Ayurveda also
examines the effect of stress in the pathogenesis of psoriasis.
