Emotions that Block

A person feels isolated and without allies. Complexes of inferiority. People who have vitiligo must rediscover themselves and seek out new behaviors and ways of interacting with the world in order to be free of it.

Vitiligo from the point of view of Ayurveda

Vitiligo (Leucoderma) is a skin disorder in which a pigment called melanin gradually disappears from the dermal layers, resulting in the formation of white spots.

Vitiligo is not contagious, and it begins as a small white or pale-colored patch and enlarges into a larger patch over time. It can occur at any age, in any person, and on any skin type.

Though vitiligo is not a fatal disease, it can have significant psychological consequences. The patients suffer from severe anxiety and mental stress, and they are embarrassed and have an inferiority complex as a result of their appearance.

Vitiligo is classified as a Kushta roga (skin disease) in Ayurveda, which is further classified into three types:
Kilasa — when doshas aggravate the medho dhatu (fat tissue), white patches appear.
Daruna — the patches will be red because the doshas have vitiated the rakta dhatu (blood).
Aruna — when the doshas vitiate the mamsa dhatu (muscle tissue), the patches will turn coppery.

How Ayurvedic doctors treat vitiligo

Ayurveda is the most effective treatment for vitiligo because it addresses the underlying cause of the disease and provides long-term relief.

Natural ayurvedic herbal treatment aims to manage symptoms by addressing the underlying cause.

Ayurveda recommends the following treatment options:
Panchakarma detoxification procedures — Vamana, Virechana, and Rakta mokshana.
Oral Ayurvedic medications and external applications.
Strict dietary restrictions, lifestyle changes, yoga, and meditation are recommended.

When used for the recommended duration, Ayurvedic therapies and natural formulations have shown promising results in controlling the progression and removing the spots.
