Foot drop
Basic description of the disease
Foot drop is a general term for difficulty lifting the front part of the foot. If you have foot drop, the front of your foot might drag on the ground when you walk. Foot drop is a sign of an underlying neurological, muscular or anatomical problem. Sometimes foot drop is temporary, but it can be permanent.
Causes of foot drop might include:

Nerve injury
– is the most common cause of foot drop is compression of a nerve in your leg that controls the muscles - nerve can be injured during hip or knee replacement surgery, nerve root injury —in the spine can also cause problem.

Muscle or nerve disorders

The peroneal nerve controls the muscles that lift your foot. This nerve runs near the surface of your skin on the side of your knee. Activities that compress this nerve can increase your risk of foot drop:
- Crossing your legs
- Prolonged kneeling
- Wearing a leg cast
Since the cause is to be found in neurological problems due to nerve dysfunction, the problem is related to
Vata Doshu
disbalance. Primarily in
