Enuresis

Enuresis is more commonly known as bed-wetting. Enuresis is a common childhood problem. Estimates. Enuresis, or bed-wetting at night, is the most common type of elimination disorder. Daytime wetting is called diurnal enuresis.

Many factors may be involved in the development of enuresis. 

Enuresis may be associated with other mental disorders, including behavior disorders or emotional disorders such as anxiety. Enuresis also appears to run in families, which suggests that a tendency for the disorder may be inherited (passed on from parent to child, particularly on the father's side).Involuntary, or unintentional, release of urine may result from:

  • A small bladder

  • Persistent urinary tract infections

  • Severe stress

  • Developmental delays that interfere with toilet training

 

Enuresis is called Shayyamutrata in Ayurveda. According to Ayurveda Enuresis is a physiological and psychological disorder. The Ayurvedic explanation for this urination problem is related to the 3 Dosha activities and the nervous system. In Ayurveda bedwetting is a Vata disturbance feature. 

Ayurveda offers an effective treatment for this problem. In children who experience bedwetting in spite of being grown up, the reason is usually stress. Stress may occur from various causes and it is important to bring your child’s stress under control -  Ayurveda specialist could offer you yoga asanas, mindful meditation, and other relaxation techniques , with Ayurvedic therapies , plus combination with different herbal medication it has effective treatment results.

  • Dont drink after 7 pm

  • Mental and physical stress shouldn’t be given to child on bedwetting.

  • Avoid food items such as , potato, tea, chocolates, coffee, and spicy foods 

  • Bladder stretching exercises should be undertaken, which are effective for the management of bedwetting in children

  • Chewing on a cinnamon bark once a day would be helpful 

  • Olive oil - apart from keeping the skin and hair healthy, it is also pivotal to treat bed-wetting in kids

1 tsp of amla powder in warm water and some black pepper - this herbal mixture are good to slowly cure bed-wetting tendency in kids.
