Stones in the kidneys are a materialization of energy - aggressive emotions that a person has carried or suppressed for years. These are insoluble anger, fear, anxiety and feelings of restlessness.

Kidney Stones

Kidney stones are hard deposits made of minerals and salts that form inside your kidneys.

Kidneys remove waste and fluid from your blood to make urine. Sometimes, when have too much waste and not enough fluid in blood, these wastes can build up and stick together in your kidneys. These clumps of waste are called kidney stones. 

Kidney stones can be as small as a grain of sand or as large as a golf ball.

Men get kidney stones more often than women .

There are four main types of stones:

  • Calcium oxalate -  The most common type of kidney stone which is created when calcium combines with oxalate in the urine. 

  • Uric acid -  Foods which have high concentrations of a natural chemical compound purines intake leads to a higher production of monosodium urate, which, under the right conditions, may form stones in the kidneys. 

  • Struvite -  these stones are caused by infections in the upper urinary tract.

  • Cystine - these stones are rare and tend to run in families

According to Ayurvedaan imbalance of Vata leads to the drying of Kapha.  

Ayurveda describes Kidney stones as Ashmari. According to Ayurveda, Ashmari is of four types  -  Vatika, Paitika, Shlaishmika and Shukraja.

  • Lemons contain citrate, which is a chemical that prevents calcium stones from forming. Lemon citrate can also break up small stones, allowing them to pass true urine channels naturally

  • Basil contains acetic acid, which helps break down the kidney stones and reduce pain

  • Celery juice is thought to clear away toxins that contribute to kidney stone formation

  • Take a one or more celery stalks blend it with water, and drink glass per day

  • Pomegranate juice has been used for long time to improve overall kidney function

  • Drinking water  - water is one of the easiest ways to treat and prevent kidney stones

  • Avoid carbonated, caffeinated, and alcoholic drinks – this increase risk of developing kidney stones.
