Sleep apnea is a serious sleep disorder that occurs when a person's breathing is interrupted during sleep . People who suffer from sleep apnea stop breathing repeatedly during their sleep, that means the brain -- and the rest of the body -- may not get enough oxygen. There are two types of sleep apnea: - Obstructive sleep apnea - the more common type - it is caused by a blockage of the airway, usually when the soft tissue in the back of the throat collapses during sleep. - Central sleep apnea - the airway is not blocked, but the brain fails to signal the muscles to breathe, due to instability in the respiratory control center. Sometimes there is combination of two types which occurs when someone has both obstructive sleep apnea and central sleep apnea , it calls - Complex sleep apnea syndrome.. The most common signs and symptoms of obstructive and central sleep apneas include - loud snoring, episodes in which you stop breathing during sleep — which would be reported by another personGasping for air dur, gng sleep, awakening with a dry mouth, morning headache, difficulty staying asleep (insomnia), difficulty paying attention while awake, irritability

How Ayurvedic doctors treat Sleep Apnoea

Burning and surgical removal of skin tags are not supported by Ayur

According to Ayurveda, Sleep apnea could be caused by impaired agni or digestive fire, aggravated Kapha and Vata. 

Ayurvedic treatment therapies , with effective results are :

– Shirodhara – Shir or ‘head’ and Dhara or ‘stream’.
